I was very pleased that I could join the celebrations last night for the third year anniversary of the recommencement of perpetual adoration at Villa Maria, Brisbane.

Following the recitation of the rosary, Fr Gregory Jordan SJ gave an informative homily, answering the question of why we have eucharistic adoration, and why perpetual adoration.  Benediction followed, and then many of those present enjoyed supper.

The presence of perpetual adoration is a great blessing for our Archdiocese, and indeed for all those who take part.  It must be very pleasing to the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration to see their charism continuing, and drawing many to adore Christ truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

Congratulations go to the organizers of perpetual adoration at Villa Maria, and above all: thanks be to God!
