One of the projects of Pope Benedict XVI has been the creation of the Personal Ordinariate to allow for corporate reunion of (former) Anglicans with the Catholic Church.  The Ordinariate has its own oversight and retains aspects of Anglican patrimony, whilst being fully part of the Catholic Church.

There is a group in Ottawa which is preparing to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.  As this post explains, they have recently begun catechesis to prepare them for re-union.  Please keep this group in your prayers.

Some of them also participated in yesterday’s Life Chain, “a North American event that sees people spend an hour of silent witness against abortion.”  I didn’t make it to any of the Life Chain locations, unfortunately.  Moreover, we discovered that one of the venues was out the front of (our) St Paul University, but we didn’t know that til after the event!  Oh well, maybe next year!
