It amuses me that if you had said the title of this post a mere twenty years ago, you would have received a puzzled look and the question, “Catholic what?”

The use of the modern means of social communication is an important part of the transmission of the Gospel.

A guild for Catholic bloggers has been formed.  Based in the UK, the Guild of Blessed Titus Brandsma says of itself:

Members of the Guild of Blessed Titus Brandsma are Catholic bloggers and users of the new media who seek to share their faith online. We are inspired by Pope Benedict XVI’s call to evangelise via the internet.

The requirements to join are straightforward:

In order to join the Guild of Blessed Titus Brandsma, all that is necessary is that you already contribute to a Catholic blog of your own and that your blog is faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
