September 14th – Feast of the Triumph of the Cross

Today I give thanks to God for eleven years of presbyteral ministry.

I thank God also for all who’ve been part of the journey so far.  We all depend on the love, support, example, prayers and sacrifices of others, and to all who have provided these for me I am deeply grateful.

It is a privilege to be a priest of Jesus Christ and to serve His Church, and I pray that I will come to do that ever more completely and wholeheartedly as the years go by.

“And may He bring us all together to life everlasting!” (Rule of St Benedict 72)
